Shoe obsession

hopbop was having their 20% off your entire order today so I wanted to use up the gift certificate I had with them. I love gift certificates, but I also find it makes me more picky when I have to use it. I feel like I need to use it for something good. I was scouring Shopbop's website for hours before I decided on my purchase. I really wanted to get another pair of jeans to replace the Siwy Jeans that had ripped a few weeks back, but then I decided against it. I have so many pairs of jeans and I wanted to get something totally different. Lately all I've been buying are shoes. I've been trying to shy away from flats because that's what I was wearing all the time. I decided it was time for a change. I wanted to buy a pair of booties that had a bit of a heel, but was also wearable. I came across these beautiful pair of booties from Steven by Steve Madden. It came in a gorgeous taupe colour and I love that the heel was not super high. I was amazed at the price too. It was totally affordable with the 20% discount. It came out to $128. I'm so excited to get it and I'll be sure to keep you guys in the loop when I receive it.

A short girl's best friend

ropped pants are my go-to pants this year. I spend a small fortune getting all my pants altered. I know it might seem like no big deal spending $15 per pant, but it all adds up. I discovered cropped pants this year. They are meant to be cropped for tall people (5'7 and over), but for a 5'3 girl it's the perfect length! That's why I've been loving Siwy's Hannah Slim Crop Jeans. Unfortunately it ripped on the knees so I returned it. However, I discovered lots of other companies are beginning to make crop pants. Last week I picked up Gap's Slim Crop Pants (see images above) from the Black Magic collection. They were on sale for $45, down from $69? I tried it on not thinking I would love it as much as I would. It fit like a glove and it was the perfect length! My sister got the Modern boot pants and that looked fantastic as well. I'm thinking of going back and checking out their other styles...

hopbop was having a sale and I couldn't resist purchasing something I had my eye on for some time- Siwy's Hannah Slim Crop Jeans in the colour Halcyon. I first saw these jeans on Le mode du jour's website. She, like me, is petite in size. I'm 5'3", she is 5'1. She was raving about how that particular style was perfect for petite girls like me because there was no need to hem it (the inseam is 28"). That got me intrigued. Yesterday I dropped a bunch of pants (and 1 trench coat) at my alteration place and the total came out to $85! I decided that I was going to try these jeans out and if I loved it as much as she did then I had found my holy grail pair of jeans. I just love everything about the jeans. I love the colour, the beautiful pocket details, the distressing, and most of all the price! I got it on Shopbop for $129.50. The regular price was $185. Plus, shipping is free. They are supposed to come on Friday. I'm so excited!
