Target haul

My younger sister and I checked out a Target near her house on Saturday. Her Target is bigger than the one I checked out last week. I was so excited because I didn't have my 2 kids with me and I knew that I would have more time to thoroughly go through each aisle. We started off our Target adventure with Starbucks :-)

My sister treated me to a tall non-fat latte :-P

I took a few snapshots throughout the store.
Pretty earrings. These are so perfect for Spring!

More jewelry.

I almost bought this mint green watch. It was only $19.99. I'm still debating whether to
go back and buy it…

This location that I went to had a shoe department. They weren't fully stocked as I had
hoped it would be…

Owls! Aren't these so cute? I would totally get these for my daughter when she gets a little
older. I'm not big on princess stuff and overly pink décor. This is more my cup of tea.

What a pretty pillow. The little yellow dots are tiny pom poms.

I know I showed these last time, but I'm showing it again. I love these appetizer bowls.
It also came in blue/green.

More melamine servingware.

I love that orange and oatmeal-coloured dish towels.

Huge beverage dispensers. These would be perfect for garden parties.

I was looking for a huge glass jar for storing my Oxiclean. I'm in love with that stuff.
Instead of storing them in their packaging I would rather have them in glass jars with
a wide rim. So much prettier that way.

Pretty wooden bowls.

I showed these bowls last time, but I wanted to show them with the different
coloured insides. Last time I just showed the yellow ones.

Pretty mechanical pencils.

I love Orla Kiely and I knew they collaborated with Method. This was the first time I saw
these in stores. I almost bought this hand soap, but I already have so many hand soaps
at home so I didn't end up getting it. I'm kind of regretting not buying it.
I might have to go back…

Other patterns.

Sonia Kashuk brushes. I didn't see any Sonia Kashuk makeup.
I'm a little disappointed by the beauty section. There weren't a lot of selections and brands
as I had hoped.

Nyx.
I think Rexall carries more Nyx lines.

Pixi.

I thought the escalator for the shopping carts were so cool!

Jamie Oliver line of products.

Mental note: next time I need to pick these up.

Cute headphones.

I love Skip Hop products. Aren't these adorbs???

This pouf reminded me of something I had seen at West Elm. I couldn't find the price of these.
Now onto what I actually bought…

I've been looking for a large glass jar to store my Oxiclean in. I looked last week at
Ikea, but they didn't have the size that I wanted. I found this one at Target for $6.99CAD.

You have to twist the lid to open it.
I'm planning to make my own label and sticking it on the jar.

Appetizer plates from Threshold.

I got 4. They were $1.99CAD each.
They are look like glass plates, but they are actually melamine.

Pretty dip bowls from Threshold.
I got 4- they were 2 for $6.99CAD.

Here they are from the side. Aren't they pretty??

Another view.

And stacked…
I think because these bowls are small they can easily be used for jewelry storage.
They are also made of melamine.

Threshold scalloped platter.
I'm a sucker for platters (I seem to pick one up from Ikea everytime I go…) so I knew
I had to have this. They only had one left. I wish I got 2… I might have to go to another
location…
This was $9.99CAD.

Here are the appetizer plates, dip bowls and platter in size relation to one another.

I also got Threshold kitchen towels.
They were $5.99 for the set.

I love how they have different patterns. I plan on hanging these on my oven door.

My only accessory that I picked up- a dainty necklace.
This was $14.99CAD.

I plan on wearing this on its own or as a layering necklace.

Here's how it looks on.

Rilakkuma key caps

Ever since I got my Louis Vuitton Key Pouch I've wanted to get cute key caps for my keys. I'm constantly trying to prettify things in my life. Do you guys do that too? I was looking at my local Asian mall to see if there were any cute key caps, but I didn't find any. I also checked Chapters/Indigo to see if they had any nice key caps as I always find cute knick knacks there. I did see these owl ones, but they weren't to my taste. I decided to check out eBay instead. At first I was looking at Hello Kitty key caps, but they were super expensive- I think around $6 each or even higher. Then I came across these Rilakkuma key caps. I'm in love with Rilakkuma as I have several of their pens and I just think the bear is adorable. They were a great deal too- 4 for $5.49USD + free shipping. I bought these on March 23 and they arrived yesterday.

Here are my keys before I put on the key caps. So plain and so boring *yawn*
The key caps came packaged like this (sans the plastic cover that I threw out before I
took these photos). The key caps were a lot bigger than I imagined them to be, but still
über cute. My younger sister saw these today and she fell in love with them.

Here's the back. It's all in Japanese.
The key caps on my keys. I didn't end up using the duck one because my car key
doesn't fit inside of it. I'm just keeping that one as a spare.

In other news, I went to Target today and bought a few things. I'll show you guys what I bought in my next post. Stay tuned!

Target ♥ Canada

My American friends to the south are probably thinking that this is lame, but I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Target to Canada. I would have gone to the soft opening in March, but having a baby at home makes it hard to just get up and go somewhere… especially if that involves large crowds. I practically begged my husband if we can go to Target this past Saturday. He thinks Target is the same as Walmart so he thought I was crazy, but we ended up going anyway. Honestly, I would have preferred going on my own because I didn't even get a chance to look at everything that I wanted to. I had a baby strapped on me (in my Baby Bjorn) and my husband wanted to go get lunch. Lesson to be learned here- don't go shopping with your husband and 2 young kids!

A quick selfie in the car. I'm finally wearing my Rayban wrap arounds that I got a looong
time ago. I probably only wore it 3X because the frames were touching my cheeks and
it kept falling down. I got it adjusted at the place I buy my sunglasses so now it fits comfortably :-)

My husband and my son. It was such a beautiful day that day so they just wore sweaters.

Now onto some of the cool things I found at Target:
I love these vases. I think they would look great in my dining room on top of my dining
room credenza.

Pretty wooden vases.

I found a few things that reminded me of Anthropologie home goods. This being one of them.
These are large jars with chalkboard labels.

Bowls that also reminded me of Anthropologie wares. The outside of the bowl was matte
while the insides were glazed.

Pretty melamine plates.
These were super cheap too and came in a variety of patterns.

Melamine bowls. So pretty!

I'm in love with that octagon mirror. You can hang it vertically or horizontally (shown here).
I think this would look great in my spare bedroom in the basement.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy anything that day because I was so rushed, but I'm planning on going tomorrow with my younger sister. I'm going to be going sans family so I'll actually take my time browsing. I'm also going to a bigger location where they have a shoe department so I'm going to check out their shoes and clothes. I'm so excited that I can't contain my excitement. If you guys have any suggestions on anything I should check out at Target let me know!
