ne of my favourite things to do is check out brunch places around the city. A few weekends ago I was at West Elm looking for some pillow shams and throws and we just happened to be by a restaurant that I have been dying to check out, Mildreds Temple Kitchen. When the hubby told me he was hungry I jumped at the chance to suggest this restaurant. Luckily we were just in time to try out their brunch menu. I got the huevos Monty (black bean refritos, sharp cheddar baked in flour tortillas, eggs sunny, salsa & avocado creme fraiche) and the hubby got Vedas choice (poached eggs on croissant with smoked salmon, barnaise & crispy oven roasted potatoes). We also got a side of black currant scones with homemade preserves & sweet butter. Let me just say it was delicious! Here's a photo of my dish:

It's also so family-friendly even though it's so nice inside. The washrooms were unisex and it was decorated with West Elm stuff. Very nice!
orry I've been MIA lately. I'm just so busy with the baby, finishing off my younger sister's wedding invitations (BTW, she's coming over in a little while to work on it some more), watching the Olympics (did I tell you I'm glued to the TV???), and doing some crafting. I just finished making a fabric band for baby A that velcros around
