Un, deux, trois…

hy is it that you always find the best stuff when you're not really planning on buying anything? Today, I wandered in Winners (similar to TJ Maxx and Marshalls for our American friends) because I was looking for a toy for my son. He's been obsessed with this Tonka garbage truck toy that his friend had at his house. My girlfriend told me she saw it at Winners the other day so I went to see if they still had it. Of course they didn't…
However, since I was already there I checked out their home section and then their accessories section. That's when I spotted the brand Deux Lux. I've seen their stuff here and there (Hautelook, Shopbop, boutique shops) and I always thought it was cute, but I never bought anything from them. Well, I found 3 great things today and was tempted to get all 3, but I only ended up only getting 1 thing.

The first thing that I saw was this glitter zip wallet.
I know I already have a Kate Spade wallet that I bought not too long ago, but I find it
too heavy and bulky.
They also had a gold glitter one, but I loved this one. I love how the zipper is gold
and it has the mint green accent. Did I tell you I'm obsessed with mint green this Spring?

Here's the interior. It has gold polka dots as the lining. Super cute, no?
I believe it is made of faux leather.

The wallet was only $24.99CAD. What a great deal! It says the original was $40CAD.
I checked online and some stores have it for $50+

The second item from Deux Lux was this wristlet/pouch.
It's a beautiful coral colour with gold accents.

The lining is a beautiful purple.

This was also a steal at $24.99CAD, compared to $50CAD.

Here I am holding it against myself for size comparison. They also had it in a fuchsia, but
I think coral is more on trend for Spring.

The 3rd item from Deux Lux was this cobalt blue hobo bag with gold studs.

I believe this is also faux leather, but it feels real!
Although I'm not crazy about studs as it is literally everywhere, but I think it looks really
nice on this bag.

It was only $49.99CAD. 

Although I wish I got all 3 things, I really shouldn't be shopping so much… So I ended up only getting one thing. Can you guess what I got?

I got the wallet!

I decided to use my good camera to capture the beauty of this wallet.
The silver glitter exterior is actually coated so that I don't have to worry about glitter
getting everywhere.

Deux Lux is known for their silver coin charm that has their logo on it. I love the mix
of silver and gold.

The label inside the wallet. The wallet has tons of pockets for all my cards.

There is a zip pocket on the inside for your coins. It has a beautiful, purple satin lining.

A small treat

or those of you who follow me on Instagram (@cujo931), you'll know that I got a little something something at Louis Vuitton today. I've been wanting this item for a while now and I'll tell you why. For those new to my blog I'm a mother of 2 kids- a 3-year old and a 7-month old. Most of the time I'm carrying a diaper bag with me. However, when I go out on my own I like switching to a regular purse. Since I'm constantly switching back and forth from a diaper bag to my regular purse I'm tired of my huge Kate Spade wallet taking up so much room in both bags. And if I'm just dashing out the door to pick up my son from daycare I just want my keys and driver's license. Nothing else. So that's why I've been thinking about getting the Louis Vuitton Key Pouch. It can fit my driver's license and my most-used cards in the pouch and the keychain can hold my car keys and house keys. 

After watching PearlyThePug's review and Hollyannaeree talking about it on their respective YouTube channels I was sold. I'm kind of bummed that I didn't get it before the Louis Vuitton price increase a couple of weeks ago, but the price increase for this particular key pouch was very minute.

And here she is. It doesn't go with my Miu Miu Bow Satchel that I wore today to the mall,
but it goes with a lot of my other purses in my collection.

I chose the Monogram print vs the Damier Azur (like the print on my Speedy 25 here)
because I don't like how dirty the Damier Azur print gets. Plus, I'm seriously thinking
about getting the Damier Ebene Speedy 30 Bandouliere as my next purse. I wanted a
key pouch that would go with both purses without it clashing. The sales person thought
I should also go with the Monogram print.
Here you can see it clipped onto the D-ring that is inside my Speedy.

For those of you who are wondering the price of the Key Pouch (or the Cles as it's
sometimes called), I bought it for $185CAD (not including tax). I'm a little bit surprised
because on the US Louis Vuitton website it is listed as $190. Usually prices in Canada are
much higher than in the States so I anticipated it being around $225CAD. I think before
the price increase it was listed on the US site at $180. So this item didn't increase in price
that much.

The key pouch comes with a dust bag and a pull-out box with a leather pull.
I never was a huge fan of Louis Vuitton because I thought it was too gaudy and loud.
However, the quality of their bags are great. After owning a Speedy 25 for a few years
now I'm more interested in the brand because of the craftsmanship.

I know some people are so picky with their Louis Vuitton being made in France (I believe
they are also made in Spain and the US). Some even going as far as making the sales
people exchange it to one that is. I was never one to care, but I'm lucky that both my
Louis Vuitton items are made in France :-)

So while I was at the mall I picked a couple more basics to add to my closet. 

I don't know about you guys, but I've always had a wish list notebook with cut-outs from magazines. It would give me great pleasure crossing off stuff on my wish list. Now that I have Pinterest I can post my wish list online and access it anywhere I go. Lately, my wish list has consisted of basics. Today I was able to cross 2 things off my wish list- a boyfriend-style jean and a jean jacket.

I know the jeans look strange in this photo- almost like midget jeans, but it's because
I rolled it up when I tried it on to the length that I wanted. I got this pair at Zara.
I love the distressed detail on it. 

I'm not quite sure how I like this print showing through the hole. I wish it wasn't there, but
I loved the colour of the jeans and the fit so I couldn't pass up on it.

I could have gone with a smaller size. it's a little big at the waist and the crotch area
seems a little baggy, but this was the smallest size that they had. I know boyfriend-style
jeans are supposed to fit a little more relaxed so I'm not too worried about it being a bit
big. This was $59.90CAD. I think it's a decent price. I saw one at Gap that was around $80.

Next, I went to Old Navy. I love going to Old Navy because I can get great deals there. You guys know I love a good bargain!

I bought my sister-in-law a really cute jean jacket at Aritzia last year when I went to
visit my in-laws and I've been wanting one ever since. However, Aritzia isn't cheap.
I used to shop there all the time when I was in my early 20s, but I'm sort of over that
place. Every other girl here wears stuff from there and I can always find better deals
at places like Holt Renfrew Last Call for premium designer brands.

I was so surprised how cheap this jacket was. It was $34.94CAD. I think the Aritzia one that
I bought my sister-in-law was around $100CAD? Maybe even more?
The best part about the jacket was that I got a discount on it. I'm in Old Navy's mailing
list so I checked my email while I was in the changing room and found out that I could get
20% off the regular price. Score! I think with the 20% discount I got it for around $31 taxes in.

There's a lot of stretch to the jacket that I love. I also love how it looks with the collar
popped up.

Pacific Mall finds

ike my new iPhone case and phone charm? I Instagrammed it when I first got it last week. The reason why I picked up another phone case (or phone cases for that matter…) was because my Kate Spade phone case that I blogged about a while back broke :-(

I ordered it from eBay and the quality of it was really cheap. I'm pretty sure it wasn't an authentic Kate Spade case because it shipped from China and it was only $20, but I didn't expect it to break so soon.
I almost always buy my phone cases in Asian places (i.e., Pacific Mall) because they have tons of options and the price points are really affordable. I got 2 cases that were smooth at the back because I wanted cases where I could stick my Sucker Stand that I got. I still love my Melt case, but because the back is not smooth the Sucker Stand won't stick…
Now, I saw the Céline phone charm on one of my favourite bloggers- Stephanie Sterjovski's website a while back so I made a mental note to pick it up at Pacific Mall the next time I went. I couldn't find the one she had, but I really liked this cobalt blue one with the yellow zip detail and logo.

The first iPhone case I picked up was this Kate Spade (probably not authentic) case.
This one is a much better quality than the Kate Spade case I bought from eBay.
It was also cheaper. I think I paid $12 vs. $20 on eBay.

The inside of the case has a quote- Have Courage. So cute!

The backside of the case has white polka dots.

The reason why I like this case was because it fits the Céline phone charm plug.
I got another case (which you'll see later on) that doesn't fit the charm plug.
You can also see that the case has a hot pink side.

Here's a close-up of the Céline phone charm. It's really well made.

This was the package it came in. The charm was $15. Totally affordable, in my opinion.

The backside also has details.
It also came in a soft pink, an orange and another colour (I forgot). I liked this one best
because it had contrasting details with the blue and yellow. The pink one had the same
pink-coloured zipper so I didn't think it popped.

This is the other phone case I got at Pacific Mall. I know it doesn't look like much, but
I like the simplicity of it. It was only $5 and it came in tons of colours. I settled with the
mint green because I think it goes well with the Céline phone charm.
It's hard to see in this photo, but the backside has a frosted finish so that it shows
through the back of the iPhone. 

Here is the case on my iPhone. I stuck the Céline phone charm in, but it's not completely
in. Because the hole is small on this iPhone case the charm doesn't go all the way in.

I like that is shows the Apple logo because of the frosted transparent back.

My husband borrowed my iPhone headphones last week because he broke his. I decided to give him mine and get new ones at Pacific Mall. 

I've never heard of these headphones, but they were so cute that I couldn't pass on them.
I think they were pretty affordable too at $10 a pop.
The ear buds have a Chiclet gum design. It came in a variety of colours, but I got the
pink one.

The headphones came with a cord keeper so that you can wrap your headphone
wires around it. I love that! I hate my headphones getting tangled up in my purse.
It also came with extra ear buds (in small, medium and large) that you can swap out.

I've used the earphones and the quality seems to be pretty good. 

Another reason I wanted to go to Pacific Mall was to get a mouse pad for my husband's office. He's been needing one ever since he got his new laptop last week, but I told him I would pick one out for him. If I left it up to him he would pick out an ugly mousepad that had a horrific design on it :-S

I know this mouse pad looks simple, but I liked that it was a light gray and small.
It was only $1.99. However, I realized when I got home that it had a peel back with
a sticker to stick onto your desk surface. I didn't want my husband to stick the mouse pad
on his desk so he ended up throwing this out.

Don't worry. This one isn't for my husband. Keke.
I got this mouse pad for my office desk. Isn't it cute? It's a very soft pink, almost white.
It also came in a hot pink.
I got this on sale for around $12?

I can't read the back because it's in Japanese.

Here's the mouse pad on my desk. I love it!

This is the mouse pad I ended up getting for my husband. He thinks it's too cute-sy, but
it beats the others I've seen at Best Buy, Walmart and other electronic shops.
I wish the end of the thought bubble was pointing to the left though… So that it points
toward the laptop. This was $6-7?
