Older and wiser

Ok, I may not be older and wiser, but I sure love getting presents on my birthday! I'm not even showing you all the stuff that I got in this post. I'll just be showing you some of my more exciting gifts. I've been sort of the disgruntled wife because after having my son I felt like I wasn't being appreciated enough for all the stuff that I was doing. Plus, I used to get great gifts from my husband! Now that we bought a house, a 2nd car, and we have a young one to take care of we have to be extra careful where all the money goes. I'm now spending much less than what I used to and that goes the same for my husband. However, I'm thankful that I was still able to get a few special items.

I've accumulated quite a few MAC eyeshadows in the past month. I was saying in my earlier posts that I never used any MAC products (gasp!), but I've started to really get into it. I decided to treat myself in the month of August to a few MAC eyeshadows.

Harajuku Lovers brush roll. I got this for $20 at Sephora!

Some of my MAC brushes. My most recent MAC brush is the 109.

Fashion haul!

A pretty blue top from Forever 21. It's made out of 100% silk.

I got a skirt that I could wear with the blue top. It's also from Forever 21.

A black and white printed top. This was super cheap! Around $19! Also from Forever 21.

This top looks great with the blue and gray skirt.

My last Forever 21 purchase. A grey top with drawstrings at the bottom. I hope all the Forever 21 stuff I bought is ok for a 30 year old gal...

My only Club Monaco purchase. I know, sad isn't it? However, this was a steal! It was originally over $238 and I got it for $39!

Now for my most exciting purchase. My husband got it for me. As you can see it's from Tory Burch. I'm a big fan of her accessories. Not so much of her clothes...

I've been searching for a small, cross-shoulder bag that had chain details (Chanel-esque) and almost bought a bag at Banana Republic. However, I'm glad I didn't buy the Banana one because this one is so much nicer! You can use the 2 straps in the same length to use as a shoulder bag or...

Pull one of the handle straps so that it turns into a super long handle and use it as a cross-shoulder bag. It's so nice! The funny thing is my husband didn't think I liked it that much. He was trying to get me to look at Balenciaga bags. I don't think he knows how much those are... Well, I think he does because I almost got one a couple of years ago instead of my Miu Miu Bow Satchel...

Here's the inside of the bag. It's just lined in a canvas material (not so exciting), but it has a detachable mirror. Cute, no?
