Beautiful products

I'm always looking for home decor products that are unique and beautiful. I especially love British mailorder company, Cox & Cox. All of their products have a vintage-y feel and are unique. Here are my favourite products:

dk and I are in the process of putting an offer on a townhouse so the idea of moving to a new place got my imagination soaring.
I love all-white rooms and these three rooms are just beautiful with the white, glossy floors. I think this is something that is not going to sit well with dk, but I just love it!

I was asked by my in-laws to design a muffin label for their health food store. My idea was to create a label (business card size) and laminate it on both sides. That way I can give them blank labels and they can have the freedom to change what they are labelling on their own. With a dry erase marker, of course.
I'm still debating how they would stick the label on a muffin- with a roach clip or a long toothpick taped on the back. I'm not sure…

How awesome is her coat?!

Sometimes Victoria Beckham looks too plastic to me. However, I think she looks great in this Stella McCartney coat. I mean, who looks this good going to the airport? I sure don't!

What a day!

I've been on the hunt for a perfect winter coat.
I've been very disappointed with my Wilfred coat I got 2 years ago from Aritzia. Seen on Hilary Duff below.

Although it's super cute on, I hate the fact that the buttons fall off every month or so. I can't even tell you how many times I've had to sew the buttons on that coat! I also don't like that Aritzia has been carrying it every year, so every girl in Toronto is spotted wearing it. Ugh.

I was actually eyeing a Milly coat for a while, but when I tried it on I didn't love it.
However, all that changed when I saw this Mackage Isa Coat in black.



I loved the short length as I'm petite and some coats just overwhelm me. I also loved how it was a perfect weight for the bitter Canadian winters, but still tailored enough that it didn't look bulky. The detailing on the coat was also amazing. Plus, it's Canadian. Yay!

It was, however, quite a journey to actually get this coat. I saw it in my lunch break and had to have it. The only downside was it was the only XS and someone else had put it on hold. I was totally bummed. The manager of the store told me that I should call near the end of the day to see if the woman who had put it on hold actually purchased it. When I did call, they told me she had not shown up. I rushed to the store, but to my disappointment the woman had shown up at the exact same time that I did! I don't think she was too impressed as I had tried everything to take that coat away from her! She gave me a couple of dirty looks.
The store then called a different location and found out that another store had 1 left in my size. Let's just say I finally did get it, but I'm so tired from all the running around. Let's just hope and pray that the buttons don't fall off like my other ones...

My favourite movie house was Diane Keaton's Hamptons pad in the movie, Something's Gotta Give.

Ever since then my obsessions with white kitchens began. When I move into my next house (hopefully soon!) I would love to have a white kitchen.

Poor baby!

It's been a difficult month for me.
First dk had to go to the hospital and now Rosco is recovering from knee surgery.
Rosco had to do surgery on his knee because he popped it out while he was running in the park one day. The vet told us that we had to get the surgery done because if we don't do anything now Rosco could get arthritis in the future.
As you can see he's still in a lot of pain and he's been throwing up a lot. He already lost quite a bit of weight.

It's also been a very expensive month. Let's just say I won't be spending money for a very long time. Here's a list of things I spent money on:

- plane ticket to Vancouver to visit the in-laws
- a new 24-inch 2.8GHz iMac. I have been desperately needing a new computer because my old iMac G4 was dying on me.
- a 3G iPhone
- Rosco's knee surgery
- fixing our old car at the body shop
- my mom and dad's Christmas present to Las Vegas
- dk's 2 year anniversary gift
- dk's sister's birthday present

Happy 2 years babes!

It's been 2 wonderful years with my dk.
Can't wait to celebrate another year with him.

I'm back!

What a crazy 2 weeks I've had.
First I was wrapping up my 5th issue at work, then dk came down with a terrible cold + bronchitis and I just got back last night from a week in Vancouver.
It looks like it'll be another crazy month for me as I will shooting the next 3 covers and Rosco will need to get knee surgery on Friday. Yikes!

Anyways, here are a few pics from Vancouver + Seattle:

The EMP near the Space Needle. Believe it or not, the EMP is quite an eyesore. I found the one area that was appealing enough to photograph.

I had the blackened/seasoned halibut over brown rice with a side salad. The rice and salad was soooo good! Not shown was their delicious clam chowder. Yum!
